Immortelle Divine Eye Balm by L’Occitane, age-defying eyecare.
Divine Eye Balm is the latest extension of the Immortelle collection, offering complete anti-aging solutions for the face. The cornerstone of this range is the Helichrysum flower, also known as Immortelle or ever-lasting flower, which is organically grown for L’Occitane in Corsica. The essential oil of this variety is rich in active molecules with strong anti-aging properties. Divine Eye Balm has been developed to smooth and firm the eye area, reduce the appearance of lines and reduce signs of fatigue, puffiness and dark circles after 8 weeks.
The cute-looking yellow jar is inspired by the golden color of the immortelle flower, but to me it’s the content that counts. As the top of the jar is quite narrow, the spatula provided in the box comes in handy. Compared to the other skincare products of the Immortelle range, this cream has a much lighter scent. I tap a small amount onto my eye area, before applying my day cream. The balmy formula sinks in well, I like this non-greasy, yet rich texture and the nourished, well hydrated feel it leaves on my skin. I notice several natural ingredients with proven anti-aging and skin-pampering properties: shea butter, plant-based glycerin, rose flower water, silica, evening primrose and borage seed oil, to name a few.
Divine Eye Balm doesn’t come cheap, but the good news is that it doubles as an eye mask: apply a layer twice a week in the evening, let it sit for 5 minutes and pat the excess into the skin.
For fresh eyes,
