These are my current favourite beauty products & tools!Brands launch many new beauty products all the time and it doesn’t seem to stop. Not that I regret that, I’m always curious and anxious to try out newbies. These are my current favourites.
Smashbox Studio Skin 24H waterproof concealer – Ici Paris Exclusive 25 Euros
Ever since I’ve received one shade of this concealer from the Smashbox press agency I’m head over heels. I LOVE this product! Meanwhile I’ve bought all shades, even the ones that are not available in Belgium. Why? This lightweight waterproof concealer has such a great, thin texture and is the perfect under eye concealer. Smashbox, don’t you ever dare to discontinue my new BFF!

Important, despite the light formula this concealer does cover up dark circles without getting into those little lines. Bare in mind that if you want to cover up pimples or heavy redness you might want to go for a a more heavier texture.
Dior Metalizer Eyes & Lips Cream Shadow – 22,50 Euros
The newest innovation from Peter Philips for Dior is one to love. It’s a metallic cream texture in a tube and can be used for both eyes and lips. I love the effect on the eyes and despite the creamy texture the product doesn’t crease into the fine lines of the eyelids. I did try it on the lips as well but I find the product gets to dry after a while.
I’ve used the colour Copper Power for a commercial fashion look on the pretty Nathalie Franssen – (c) Marieke Penne
Remington Keratin Protect Straight Brush -60 Euros
The award for the quickest tool goes to Remington! This 2-in-1 heated styling brush combines a hair ironer with a brush and gives you healthy, shiny hair in an instant. The bristels of the brush are ceramic and enriched with keratin and almond oil. Sounds good right? This tool get extra points from me because the brush is of a decent size, which results in bigger strokes at one time and a few minutes longer in bed in the morning!
Batiste Dry Shampoo – 6,49 Euros
I have never been fond of dry shampoos. Most of the time they made my hair feeling like broom bristles and hard, I always felt the product on my scalp not to mention the greyish effect. I’ve noticed the Batiste hype but I figured to let it pass on me until the company send me a few of their products. Now I even have the Volume Dry Shampoo in my pro kit! Go figure, this is great stuff!
Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Aqua Nude foundation – 50 Euros
This foundation has such a light texture and feels like silk on the skin. Fits perfectly with the beauty industry that is currently obsessed with a nude effect and…fits perfectly with how I like foundation to be. As you know by now I’m a skin lover, I like to see skin and this foundation melts into the skin, veiling imperfections and blurring visible pores. Simply perfect!
Estée Lauder The Illuminator Radiant Perfecting Primer + Finisher – 35.50 Euros
This primer is one that I like to mix with foundation to provide the skin of a subtile healthy glow. After applying the foundation you can put a little bit extra on the cheekbones to make them stand out more, without that pearly powdery effect.
Love these beauties,
