Pro hair care worth trying: Redken & Joico
To keep my long hair in the best possible condition, I shampoo every two days and I choose professional hair care products. I’m not really faithful to one range or even to one brand, I like to browse as there are so many. These are the ones I’ve been trying out lately.
The Redken Clean Maniac products have been inspired by the cleansing properties of micellar water. They suit all hair types as well as color-treated hair and I like the fact that they are silicone and sulfate-free. Also, the ingredients list is shorter than most professional hair care products and I don’t spot any ingredients which are a big no-no. The gentle Clean Maniac Micellar Clean-Touch Shampoo has a fresh green scent to it. I work up a soft lather, shampoo, rinse and apply Clean Mania Clean-Touch Conditioner through the lengths of my hair. It is rich enough to completely detangle my long manes, yet after blow-drying my hair feels super lightweight and bouncy. I like this duo!
For those with a sensitive scalp, professional hair care brand from the USA Joico features Daily Care Treatment Shampoo, a nourishing shampoo said to cleanse the hair while stimulating the scalp’s health. I cannot really confirm that since I don’t suffer from an itchy scalp. K-PAK Color Therapy is Joico’s complete range for color-treated-hair, recognizable by its gold and burgundy packaging. I’ve tried the color-preserving K-PAK Color Therapy Conditioner, which performed just fine. Once a week I pamper my hair with something extra, so I gladly tried K-PAK Color Therapy Luster Lock, the instant shine & repair treatment. This creamy mask has to be left in for about 3 – 5 minutes before rinsing. As promised I was rewarded with silky soft and shiny hair.
