Luscious lips with love for winter!Bright lips is one of my trusted ways to chase away autumn and winter blues. The winter makeup collections feature some out-of-the ordinary lipsticks, have you seen these yet?
If you’re a fan of ombré lips, make sure to check out Givenchy Le Rouge Sculpt, a two-toned lipstick designed to color and contour the lips in one stroke. Givenchy is a master when it comes to stylish packaging, and this chrome and matte black colored case is too pretty for words. The ombré lip two-toned lipstick trend started in the autumn of 2016, the purpose being to make your lips appear fuller and more defined in seconds, without a lot of fuss. With Le Rouge Sculpt, you really can’t go wrong in creating a plump, sexy pout. At first sight, the contrast of the two shades may look too striking, but you’ll notice that the darkest tone is more transparent, so the effect is less bold on your lips. I like the creamy, soft texture of this hydrating lipstick. It goes on smoothly and the pigmentation as well as the staying power lives up to my high expectations (we’re talking Givenchy, after all). I slightly blend with my finger to soften the edge between the two shades, but you can also leave it just as it is, which is another great feature of this lipstick. Le Rouge Sculpt is available in 5 shades. 04 Sculpt’in Corail will brighten every drury, grey autumn day, and 02 Sculpt’in Violine, a cool, dark purple, is a perfect winter color, don’t you think?
Fan of lip gloss?
Givenchy L’Autre Noir Winter Collection features Gloss Révélateur Noir, a non-sticky black gloss that enhances the natural color of your lips, adding shine and a pink hue. Applied on the lips, the black turns into a translucent, cool pink. Applying another layer intensifies the pink color somewhat. I’ve tried it on a few friends, and as it is in fact a lipcolor enhancer, it looked different every time. I think it looks nicest one those with a cool skin tone.
Say “winter” and I think “frost”. No winter games for me, but MAC Frost Lipsticks sure are fun to play with. This iconic lipstick range, loved for its ultra-creamy texture, medium coverage and semi-glossy, pearly finish, features some new limited edition colors. Cold Front is a cool-toned lavender blue. The color is buildable to a certain degree, I applied it over a nude beige to warm the cool tone up and that worked out well. If you prefer a darker color, you might want to try Royal Hour, a dark blueish-purple with cool, pink undertones and a violet sparkle.
If you want metallic lips that stand out like nothing else, Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Metal might be your buddy. It is described as a liquid lip formula that glides on, offering the full coverage of a lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in a single coat, and that’s exactly what it does. If you ask me, Space Case is the boldest of the 9 metallic shades in this collection. The pigmentation is unreal, one stroke leaves you with glossy, striking silver lips. Even though it’s not my style, this is ideal for a party look and guaranteed to draw all attention to your lips!
Love your lips,
