How does Lancôme Teint Idole perform on camera?
Lancôme Teint Idole, long-lasting for sure but how does this foundation perform on camera?

When you’re looking for a new foundation it’s not that easy. There are so many brands and so many different types of foundation on the market and to be honest, without trying one a full day on your own face, you don’t really know and you will have to rely on the sales lady. You might not know it yet, but in makeup I’m a big fan of skin work. I love all kinds of skin types and tones and I love making a model’s or client’s skin flawless. Recently I received a box with the Teint Idole range and I got the chance to use it on set. Let’s see how that worked out!

What’s in the box?

I’ve used the foundation, concealer and highlight drops on Charlotte, the model during a commercial fashion shoot. Here’s what I think of the products.

Teint Idole is the perfect foundation for those who like a semi-coverage that lasts all day. For me, in my job as a makeup artist, I love to see skin. I don’t like to cover it up if not necessary. I had to get used to the ‘thickness’ of Teint Idole foundation on the models pretty perfect skin as I’m so used to working with cream foundations that are so easy to build up. What I found really positive is the fact that it covered Charlotte’s redness with only one thin layer. Another positive point of the foundation is that it can be mixed with a moisturizer without loosing much of it’s ‘cover effect’. Which is what I did. I used this thinner version on the outside of the model’s face while I used the pure foundation on the cheeks and chin. As you can see on the models’ pictures, it performs well on camera, these pictures are only light adjusted and the skin is not photoshopped.

Favourite product from the box is the Highlight Drop. They come in four tones, which I like, as I could also use them on a more tanned or darker skin tone. The dropper doesn’t really work well, I think the product inside the bottle is a little too thick for the dropper, but let that not be a minor, the highlighter self is really nice, soft, natural and not overdone. Perfect for commercial fashion shoots! As for the Teint Idole concealer, I like it but I also don’t. For pimples, severe redness and maybe some light pigmentation it works like a charm. For the thin zone underneath the eyes it’s way too thick in my opinion. Don’t use this concealer in full underneath the eyes if you have more mature skin, it will only enhance the little lines. Nevertheless, same here as with the foundation, you can easily mix it with some moisturizer for a perfect result!

Conclusion? I believe the Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation is perfect for those who like semi-coverage that lasts all day. It’s the perfect foundation for a party or for the girl who loves Insta-looks. If you want to cover up redness but still want to have a natural result, mix it with a moisturizer. As for the concealer I would recommend the same. The highlighter is a stunner for those who want a natural glow!

In love with skin,
Peggy
