How to wear the beach look in the city.
You don’t have to be on a beach to wear a summery makeup look. If anything, I’m a true summer girl and I love nothing more than the beach, the sea or the ocean and salt on my skin. Unfortunately I don’t live near the coast but that doesn’t mean I won’t act like I’m miss sunshine herself!
A few weeks ago I received some new Urban Decay Cosmetics makeup items which resulted in an instant Happy Peggy. I was lemming the Backtalk Palette ever since I first saw it and the other items are not bad either. A new shoot was planned and on a sunny day in the city, with a beautiful model and a great photographer, an Urban Decay beach in the city look was born.
The Backtalk palette got right away a spot in my pro kit. Meanwhile I’ve used it on a few occassions and I’m quite happy with it. The blushes and highlighters have a decent pigmentation and although not all the eyeshadow shades might be a daily choice I’m totally loving them.
I’ve used the colour Heatwave from the Beached Palette palette – 39 Euros see picture above- on Julia’s eyes. This shiny bronzy colour is to die for!I’ve also used the colour Blaze from this palette, as a highlighter on the cupid’s bow and on top of Julia’s cheekbones.
As for the lips I’ve used the Beached Vice lipstick – 20 Euros- in the colour 100 Degrees, a soft coral colour that I absolutely adore! Obviously, the colour of the Beached bronzer that I’ve received is too light for Julia’s skintone but I can assure you, this is a really nice bronzer!
What do you think guys? I’m totally smitten!
