Playing with colour in makeup is so much fun, bring back the 80’s! (and they are back!)
1987. The first single I got was ‘I wanna dance with somebody’ by Whitney Houston. I was 16. Being a teenager in the 80’s was the best you can get when it comes to makeup and fashion, literally everything was fashionable. Punk, new wave, colourful, from Anne Clark to Cindy Lauper…not only love but also makeup was a battlefield!
For the second part of the INTERTWINDED series -check the first part here– I wanted to create a makeup look that I used to wear myself back in the days. I made it look contemporary with fresh skin instead of orangy desert dust and I skipped the bright pink blush. As for colour on the eyes, I went for blue and copper, because hey, it’s a match made in eyeshadow heaven!

A Bb Cream and some BB powder, an eyeshadow palette, an eye pencil, some mascara and a lip oil… that’s all it took to create this eighties inspired look.
Would you dare to wear an 80’s makeup look? I’m longing to see more eighties inspired looks on the catwalk, after all, it’s so much more fun when you’re allowed to go all the way!
