A natural makeup look can easily be turned into a funky look with just a few adjustments. Let me show you how!
I guess I can say I’m known for creating the natural look, a fresh and flawless face, a soft glow and a hint of colour. However, I do like to think out of the box and be creative. I love playing with texture and colours and that’s exactly what I did during this beauty shoot with the stunning Jolien Bas.
I started with creating a fresh base and added a soft glow on top of the cheekbones and the cupid bow. On the eyes a soft salmon coloured eyeshadow with a satin finish. As for brows I didn’t need to do much, as Jolien’s brows are almost perfect! I filled in the little gaps a bit and gave them a good brush. Just a hint of mascara and some old pinkish lipstick -which I applied with my fingers- to finish the look et voilà.
As both the photographer and myself like to try out new things, we experimented a bit with light.
For the second look I decided to ad some more colour to the eyes. Besides that I added a little bit more mascara.
When the photographer got the images he wanted he gave me carte blanche. Playtime! For the third look I didn’t think but just did! Powder, cream blush and lipstick, with this funky result! It’s all about textures.
When our lovely model asked us if she could have a freckled look we couldn’t resist! Time to remove the heavy eye look and start over. What do you think of this?
