Atelier Rebul, the new kid on the block in Belgium! If Atelier Rebul doesn’t ring a bell, (I confess, I wasn’t familiar with this brand either) that will most likely change. The first Atelier Rebul concept stores in Belgium opened their doors in July in Hasselt and Gent, and before the end of October there will be seven stores in our country. Atelier Rebul saw the light in 1895 when it was founded by the French pharmacist Jean Cesar Reboul. On his visit to Turkey, he was enchanted by the city of Constantinopel and there he opened Turkeys’ first pharmacy, la Grande Pharmacy Parisienne. Today Atelier Rebul still breathes this typical retro French apothecary look and feel, with a modern twist. Atelier Rebul products are the result of precious natural ingredients and oriental essential oils, processed into sublime cosmetics with 122 years of pharmaceutical know how. They don’t contain any mineral oils or parabens and are cruelty-free.
I was invited at the Atelier Rebul store in Hasselt and got to discover the fragrances, face, body and hair care, scented candles and diffusers. On the first floor, there is also an inviting room where you can get a facial. There’s so much to see and to try in the enchanting store, so let’s focus on the fragrance concept. You can just buy a scent as it is, or you can choose your favorite eau de cologne and make it personal. A clear glass bottle with a branded wooden cap is filled on the spot with this fragrance and your personal message is printed on the label, which makes it a perfect gift.
I chose the sweet Jasmin scent for myself, and I’ve surprised a friend with the invigorating Green Tea. You can also create a custom gift: fill an attractive-looking retro gift box according to your likes and budget and you’re guaranteed to score.
