Izia by Sisley, a tribute to the rose. The idea to create Izia was born in Isabelle d’Ornano’s own abundant flower garden in France. Here, Sisley’s owner got inspired by her favorite rose, its petals pale pink with a golden hue, to create this contemporary rose scent that bears her own name. Mrs d’Ornano has Polish roots and, in Polish, Izia is short for Isabelle.
Sisley’s new scent is all about harmony, sophistication and femininity. The “love my rose” concept is clearly defined in the fragrance and its packaging. The pink and golden hues and the shape of rose petals are reflected in the beautifully sculpted bottle, designed by the Polish sculptor Krzysztov.
Izia opens as a veil of flowery freshness. The top notes are bergamot, freesia, pink pepper and some citrusy accents. Then, the roses develop abundantly, while the fresh citrus scent remains: pear, jasmine, peony rose and lily-of-the-valley are the flowery and fruity heart notes. Angelica flower adds a vibrant green, yet slightly powdery touch. When the bases notes kick in, the scent gets even a bit more powdery. Cedar, musks and amber contribute warmth and sensuality to the feminine, fresh flowery bouquet. If you like a rose fragrance with a modern approach and a fresh twist, be sure to check out Izia.
