Caudalie’s all-time favorite Beauty Elixir celebrates its 20th anniversary!
Love-brand Caudalie launches a limited edition of their iconic Beauty Elixir. It now comes in a semi-opaque glass spay-bottle decorated with a gold-colored grape branch. The composition of this much-liked beauty lotion, which suits all skin types, remains identical. After all, why change a winning formula?
Caudalie Beauty Elixir -also known as Eau de Beauté- saw the light 20 years ago and is inspired by Queen Isabelle of Hungary’s “elixir of youth” which, according to the legends, monks developed in the 14th century as a rejuvenating elixir for the queen. The ambassador of Beauty Elixir is English actrice and top model Rosie Huntington, who explains she discovered it during a fashion show. As a Caudalie fan, I’ve known this product for several years, and I’m glad it’s now in the picture again.
You could say Beauty Elixir is a multi-tasker which is actually good for your skin. The orange flower water contains several essential plant oils which smooth, hydrate and tonify the skin: rosemary, balm mint, pepper mint, rose, myrrh and Caudalie’s signature grape extract. You can actually see these oils float on top, which is why you have to shake the bottle before you mist your face. I like this product because it’s so versatile, you can use it in the morning after cleansing before moisturizing and as setting spray to fix your makeup. I use it mainly as a moisturizing boost during the day, when I feel my skin gets dehydrated from working in an air-conditioned room all day. The mini version is going with me on holiday for sure! As a plus, the invigorating, fresh herbal scent of the essential oils work miracles on a stressed-out mind!
Stay fresh and stressless,
